At Yealmpstone Farm Primary School, we are committed to supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of our pupils, parents and staff. We know that everyone experiences life challenges that can make us vulnerable and at times, anyone may need additional emotional support. We take the view that positive mental health is everybody’s business and that we all have a role to play. Our school is part of the Mental Health Support Team pilot.

We offer different levels of support:
Universal support- A whole-school approach that promotes the positive mental health of all our pupils.
Targeted support – For those who may be showing early signs of distress, have short-term needs or those who may have been made vulnerable by life experiences such as bereavement. Parents access this through our Parent Support Advisor, Sarah Williams.
Specialist support – For pupils who have identified needs and require more differentiated support and resources, specific targeted interventions such as wellbeing groups or personal mentors and involvement from mental health professionals.
