Military Kids Club

Mrs Sarah WIlliams (Parent Support Advisor) runs our Military Kids Club once a week, after school. Our Military Kids Club is a safe place where children can talk to one another when loved ones are on deployment and support them through this difficult time. Activities are varied and include arts, crafts and pottery with the children's interests always at the heart. We like to make good use of our fantastic forest school area by making camp fires, climbing trees, playing with the mud kitchens and gardening. We also like to cook, do treasure hunts, arts and crafts and have lots of fun!

Throughout the course of the year, the Plymouth MKC Heroes also offer a variety of events to our service children.

We celebrate Armed Forces Week and remember those who have fought in the war. Our Field Gun Team compete on The Hoe each year. Our service children respectfully lay a Poppy Wreath and observe a 2 minutes' silence.

We are so proud of our service children and families at Yealmpstone Farm Primary School. They are the face of resilience!

Our Military Kids' Club took part in a Poppy Trail around the school grounds which taught them about some of the history of the armed forces. On Sunday 13th November, some of our Military Kids Club went to the Remembrance Service to represent our school. They presented their decorated crosses and laid our wreath at the memorial.
